Shawn was beyond amazing—so attentive and dedicated, making sure every detail was flawless for our special day. His professionalism and care truly made all the difference. Our guests could not stop raving about the food! Not only was it absolutely delicious, but everyone was blown away by how much food was available. From the appetizers to the main courses, every dish was top-notch, and the staff ensured that plates were always full. The waitstaff was exceptional—friendly, efficient, and always making sure our guests were taken care of. The bartenders also went above and beyond, crafting amazing drinks that kept the celebration going. The entire event ran so smoothly, right on schedule, which made the night feel effortless for us. We recently celebrated my daughter’s Sweet 16 at Avana Banquet Hall, and the experience was truly remarkable from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm, welcoming, and perfectly set for such a special occasion. The hall’s decor was stunning and elegant, with attention to every detail. The staff was extremely professional, kind, helpful, and attentive. They were very accommodating and took every possible measure to prevent any stress or concerns from arising. The food alone was a highlight of the evening. The menu options were diverse, delicious, and beautifully presented. The entire atmosphere and service was an experience that exceeded all our expectations. Most importantly, my daughter was beyond grateful to have been given a memory, which will last her a lifetime. Not to mention how impressed and pleased all our guests were. I believe everyone deserves an experience as great as mine for such special occasions. We highly recommend this banquet hall. We just had our wedding at Avana Venue. The food was delicious, the ambiance was lovely, and the service was outstanding. All our guests were taken care of in the most attentive way. The lighting perfectly matched the party vibe. Shahen was very responsive, always made time to meet with us, and supported all our ideas, no matter how unconventional they were. He’s definitely someone who isn’t afraid to think outside the box. We had the greatest experience, and I highly recommend this place for any occasion.

Kudos to Shahen and his team for an unforgettable wedding! When my daughter Erin and her future husband Josh entrusted me with organizing their wedding, they had two specific and seemingly simple requests: a 100% vegan wedding and a party that would last all night. Little did we know that these requests would turn out to be quite the challenge. Despite being in the Los Angeles area, finding a venue that could accommodate an all-night event proved to be difficult. Many venues, even the most prestigious ones, imposed strict time limits, ending events as early as 10 PM on a Saturday night, with only a few offering extensions until midnight or 2 AM at the latest. After numerous emails, phone calls, and personal visits, to different venues, we discovered Avana. The venue’s two ballrooms, equipped with the latest lighting, video, and sound technology, were stunning. We were instantly captivated but hesitant, expecting the same restrictive time policies. However, our concerns were quickly alleviated when we met Shahen. When we explained our desire for an event that would end at 7 AM, reflecting our Italian and Argentinean heritage with a customary breakfast, Shahen didn’t hesitate. He responded “Of course, what else?” My wife Silvia, Erin, Josh, and I were thrilled and almost fell off our seats. Shahen’s remarkable flexibility and professionalism continued as we shared our second request for a 100% vegan wedding. His enthusiastic response was, “That’s fabulous, what food would you like to serve?” His willingness to accommodate every detail of our dream wedding was evident from the start. We wanted something far from a standard wedding meal. Avana provided three distinct and perfect settings for our celebration: the Modern Hall for the ceremony, the Main Hall for dancing and dining, and the open area for both the cocktail hour and the final breakfast. At 8 PM, guests were invited into the Main Ballroom, where Erin and Josh made a grand entrance. From 8 PM to 6 AM, we delighted our guests with seven rounds of exquisite food, each one paying homage to the couple’s diverse roots. In between the rounds of food, we danced the night away. First, we were entertained by the incredible live band Golly Miss Molly, led by the fabulous singer Molly Billman, whose captivating performances had everyone on their feet. Later, our DJ, Mr. Keith Campbell, took over, providing an amazing music selection and energy that kept the celebration alive and vibrant until the early hours. At 6:07 AM, a truly magical moment unfolded. The DJ announced that breakfast would be served in the open area. The lights in the ballroom dimmed to complete darkness, the doors opened revealing the first rays of dawn, and “Here Comes the Sun” by The Beatles started playing. As the light filled the room, guests were gently guided outside, where they were greeted by the delightful aroma of a charcoal grill. Awaiting them were vegan Italian sausages paired with chimichurri, perfectly prepared to cap off an unforgettable night. What made this event truly exceptional was Shahen and his team’s dedication. Neither Shahen nor his chefs were vegan, Italian, Argentinean, or Indian. They were simply outstanding professionals who conducted extensive research to veganize existing recipes and subcontract specialty items such as dosas, Argentinean empanadas, and vegan donuts. They even secured exclusive products like Climax blue cheese and Chunk vegan steaks, not yet available to the general public in the U.S. Throughout the 15-hour event, Shahen was there, ensuring everything ran smoothly every time. We will forever be grateful to Shahen and the entire Avana team for going above and beyond. Shahen’s dedication and the venue’s versatility made Erin and Josh’s wedding a flawless and unforgettable experience. Thank you, Avana and Shahen, for making our dream wedding a reality.
